Clubs & Activities

Clubs & Activities

We offer a wide variety of activities and clubs to keep students engaged.

Clear Creek hosts three Extra-curricular club sessions each year.

Fall Session: November 4th – December 19th

Winter Session: January 27th – March 13th

Spring Session: April 14th – May 29th

Students may apply for as many clubs as they like each session.

Student selection is done by lottery, keeping in mind who was able to participate the prior

club session, to ensure all students get an opportunity to participate.

Club acceptance notifications are sent on ParentSquare.

Mrs Mutch is our Club Coordinator for the 25/26 School Year.

  • The Clear Creek Choir is a volunteer group of 4th and 5th grade students that meet once a week, starting in September on Tuesdays at 8:10 a.m. This group is for students that enjoy singing and performing. The Clear Creek Choir represents the school by performing throughout the year for school and community events. Clear Creek also has a staff choir which regularly performs with the student choir. Please contact Miss Martinelli for more information.

  • Deployment Support Groups are offered to Clear Creek students on Tuesdays during their recess/lunch times. These groups are for students whose parent is currently deployed or may be deployed in the immediate future. Students can attend for as many sessions as they choose. The purpose of these discussion groups are for children to have an opportunity to share their feelings about their parent’s deployment and for children to share ideas about coping with a parent’s absence. One parent will be facilitating the groups and Staff from the Fleet and Family Support Center will be available for support as well.

This program will begin in October.
Students must have a signed permission slip in order to attend.

  • This program was created in 1992 so that kids could invest in themselves and in their school by doing meaningful work on campus. Many children have the desire to perform meaningful work and feel needed. Orca Leaders was created to nurture positive leadership skills. Students have the opportunity to apply for school-wide jobs. They are responsible for completing the application, obtaining teacher and parent permission and signing a work contract. Such jobs include Lunch Helper, Orca Store Helpter, Office Messenger, Kitchen Helper.  Mr Marzano organizes our Orca Leader jobs and can be contacted with any questions.

  • Watch D.O.G.S (Dads Of Great Students) is for children who could benefit from having another adult relationship. Community members, parents, and Central Kitsap personnel volunteer their time once a week to meet with a designated Clear Creek student. These children, and adults, benefit from one-on-one attention to improve self-esteem, learning, and communication skills. We are always looking for more volunteers!

  • Safety Patrol is open to 4th and 5th grade students. Eligibility to participate is based on a student’s academic and behavioral progress. Patrollers must be mature, responsible, and demonstrate strong leadership skills. They are expected to be positive role models for younger students.

There are morning and afternoon shifts, with 8-10 positions available around the perimeter of the school. Throughout the year, between 25 and 35 students will serve on the Safety Patrol, participating in three sessions: fall, winter, and spring, each lasting 7 to 10 weeks.

The main responsibility of the patrollers is to ensure the safety of their peers by encouraging them to walk carefully and directly to their destinations. As a reward for their dedication and hard work, Safety Patrol members enjoy a field trip or other special treat at the end of the year.

The Safety Patrol advisor is Mrs. Mutch.
